What I'M GLAD do?

Our organization takes pride in our effort to push through with the activities despite its limited resources and limited capacity to access resources - in tandem with other internal deficits such as technical capacity and organizational management issues. Despite all these, IMGLAD stands by its core values to persistently etch and provide a space to amplify positions, educate fellows and colleagues, and co-produce. initiatives

In the recent years, IMGLAD has participated and was invited to speak in national and international LGBTQIA+ gatherings, notable of which is its participation as one of the respondents in UNDP and USAID’s Being LGBT in Asia: The Philippines Country Report (2014); and lead presenter in some local and national discussions (i.e. LGBT Thematic Workshop during the Mindanao Peoples’ Peace Summit in 2019, lead presenter on Gender and Globalization in 2016). This year, IM GLAD was also awarded its Certificate of Incorporation from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It also currently conducts affinity research that seeks to draw out members’ issues on micro contexts (self, family, intimate relationships, school/work, and Barangay) and macro contexts (law, education, health services, and public spaces).
